Martani Mountains by Night

A hill massif covered by woods of oaks, Turkey oaks and hornbeams, separating the Umbrian Valley from the Tiber Valley. With peaks above 1,100 metres, it offers ideal terrain for demanding MTB routes with long gravel descents and views across all of central Umbria.

From the rampart walk of the Rocca Albornoziana opens one of southern Umbria's widest panoramas: the Nera valley, the medieval village below and, on clear days, as far as Monte Soratte in Lazio.

The highest peak of the Martani Mountains, at 1,094 metres, offers an exceptional panorama: on one side the Umbrian Valley with Spoleto, Foligno and Assisi, on the other the Tiber Valley as far as Todi. On clear days, the Gran Sasso and Sibillini Mountains are also visible.
